Before proceeding with buying or changing any plans, you must review the specific policy language as it pertains to your plan in your state. Most states have Departments of Insurance which is part of the state government. And some have a Consumer Affairs Department. Either or both are valuable sources for information. Don't hesitate to call these government agencies for assistance. They have qualified professionals who can help steer you in the best direction.
